You must have thought that Aamir Khan starrer Thugs of Hindostan will create a new record in the Box office as he established himself as Mr Perfectionists and undisputed king of the box office, though at slightly longer intervals than other Khans. Despite having received negative reviews on Twitter, Thugs of Hindostan is no different, it has already minted around Rs 50 crore on the opening day.
The star-studded film, Thugs of Hindostan, features megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh playing pivotal roles.
According to reports, Thugs Of Hindostan has also surpassed the first-day collection of Dangal (Rs 29.78 crore), which currently holds the record for the highest-grossing Indian film ever.
The film Thugs Of Hindostan was released across 7000 screens worldwide, as opposed to Dangal’s 5300 screens may have had a role to play. Ticket prices were also increased for Aamir’s latest release.
Thugs of Hindostan has also recorded the third highest pre-sales of all time with around Rs 27.50 crore net, as reported by Boxofficeindia.com. It is the first Bollywood film with such an advance ticket sale as only magnum opus Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and Hollywood film Avengers: Infinity War have recorded higher advance sales.
