The Sky Is Pink: Priyanka Chopra-Farhan Akhtar starrer is a winner

The trailer of Shonali Bose’s The Sky is Pink featuring Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim has dropped earlier today. The Desi Girls comeback film in Bollywood is a roller coaster ride of love, emotions and tragedy. The Shonali Bose directorial is based on the love story of a couple spanning 25 years, told through the lens of their teenage daughter who has been diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis at the age of 13. The Sky Is Pink is the incredible love story of a couple spanning 25 years. It is humorous, warm and heart wrenching and a family’s unusual, courageous journey that will leave you moist-eyed for sure.

The three-minute-long trailer has Zaira Wasim as Aisha narrating the love story of her parents, who she fondly calls Panda (Farhan) and Moose (Priyanka). It starts with their romance to their wedding and the many ups and downs they go through in life. But the real challenge comes when Aisha is diagnosed with a serious immune deficiency and they put forth everything to save her.

Helmed by the National Film Award-winning director Shonali Bose, the biographical drama also stars Farhan Akhtar, Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf in the lead roles. The movie has premiered at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on September 13.

Produced by Roy Kapur films and RSVP, The Sky is Pink is set to open in theatres on October 11.
