Amazon Prime Video’s web-show, ‘The Family Man’ first season received immense success and was loved by fans after it released on September 20, 2019. Last month, the makers dropped the teaser of season two of the show and it was loved by millions. Earlier, season two was slated to release on February 12, however, now, the show has been delayed.
On Friday, the directors Raj and DK announced the same on their social media handle. The statement read as: “We know you have eagerly been waiting for the new season of The Family Man. We are grateful and humbled by all the love! We have an update for you. The Family Man season 2 will premiere on Amazon Prime Video this summer. We have been working super hard to get you a kickass season, and we are pretty sure you will love it. We can’t wait to bring it to you.”

Reportedly, this decision comes after Amazon Prime India landed into a pool of controversies after several complaints were filed against Ali Abbas Zafar’s show ‘Tandav‘ for hurting religious sentiments. Later, the makers of ‘Mirzapur’ also faced similar complaints and showing the state in a bad light.
The second season of ‘The Family Man’ will mark the digital debut of south star Samantha Akkineni and Manoj Bajpayee in the lead role. Apart from them, actors Sharib Hashmi, Priyamani, Sharad Kelkar, and Shreya Dhanwanthary will also be reprising their roles from season 1.
