Thalapathy Vijay's Master breaks Prabhas' Baahubali 2 record, achieves highest theatrical share in Tamil Nadu
Thalapathy Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi starrer Master has been on a minting spree ever since its theatrical release. The movie that showcases a face-off between the Titans of south cinema has breathed life into the Tamil Film industry which was severely affected due to the COVID-19 Lockdown. Despite the 50% occupancy cap the movie went on to shatter all the records. Now it has set even broken the 4-year-long record held by ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’.
Master has become the film with the highest theatrical share in Tamil Nadu. While Baahubali 2 collected 78 Cr, Vijay’s film has managed to incur 80 Cr in just 19 days of its release.
Trade analyst Sidharth Srinivas tweeted,
