Kollywood star Thalapathy Vijay got his first-ever wax statue at the Mayapuri wonder wax museum in Kanyakumari. Notably, Vijay has become the first Tamil actor to get a wax statue at the museum along with other famous celebrities like APJ Abdul Kalam, Charlie Chaplin, MS Subulakshmi, Rabindranath Tagore Amitabh Bachchan, Mother Theresa, Michael Jackson and Barack Obama.
The Tamil star’s statue has been modelled to look like the actor’s character Joseph Kuruvila in ‘Theri.’
Ever since the wax statue was unveiled, fans are gathering to the museum to take selfies with the wax statue. The photos of Vijay’s wax statues have gone viral on social media platforms. It looks like the Tamil actor’s wax statue has become a reason for tourist attraction.

On the work front, Vijay was last seen in the Indian Tamil-language sports action film written Bigil which was directed by Atlee Kumar.
Vijay is currently prepping for his action-thriller film Thalapathy 64 for which he has teamed up with the filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj. The team is currently shooting in Delhi and there have been reports that the makers are planning to release the first look of the actor on New Year’s eve.
Thalapathy 64 includes star cast like Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan, Antony Varghese, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Soundarya Nandakumar, Ramya Subramanian and Gouri Kishan in important roles. The movie is produced by Xavier Britto under the banner of XB Film Creators, the company’s first production.
The film is scheduled to be released in April 2020.
