Thalapathy 65: Vijay & Pooja Hegde Starrer Goes On Floor

Tamil superstar Vijay‘s ‘Thalapathy 65’ directed by Nelson Dhilipkumar is going on floors on Wednesday(March 31). The Nelson Dilipkumar directorial features actress Pooja Hegde as the female lead. The muhurat pooja took place at the Sun TV Studio in Chennai. The entire cast and crew were present at the ceremony.

Thalapathy Vijay sported a formal look for the ceremony. He was seen greeting everyone with a smile on his face. Pictures of the superstar from the muhurat puja were soon viral.

One person was missing and that was none other than actress Pooja Hegde. She was busy with some other commitments. Pooja took to Twitter and penned a heart-touching note. She wrote, “Missing out on the muhurat puja today of #Thalapathy65 since I’m shooting elsewhere. But my heart and spirit is with the team. Good luck can’t wait to join you’ll soon (sic).”

As per sources, Vijay had initially planned to shoot a major sequence of the film in Russia. However, due to the rise in COVID-19 cases, the plans were changed. Now only a few romantic scenes will be shot in Russia, the rest will be shot in Chennai. Thalapathy 65 has been scheduled to release around Pongal 2022.
