Thalaivi TRAILER: Kangana Ranaut showcases Jayalalithaa’s journey

Kangana Ranaut celebrates her 34th birthday today (March 23) and to make it more special the makers of ‘Thalaivi’ have released the much-awaited trailer of the film. The film, which will see the ‘Queen’ actress playing the role of Jayalalithaa.

‘Thalaivi’ is a biographical film about the life of J. Jayalalithaa, a politician and film actress who served six terms as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

On Monday, Kangana shared stunning stills as J Jayalalithaa from her upcoming film that will leave you in awe. She also spoke about how she gained and lost 20 kgs for the film. “One day to go for the trailer launch of #Thalaivi

For the ‘Thalaivi’, Kangana underwent a prosthetic transformation and even took special lessons for Bharatnatyam dance and Tamil language for the role. The film will also star Arvind Swami, Prakash Raj, and Jisshu Sengupta. The film is directed by A. L. Vijay and produced by Vibri Media in collaboration with Karma Media And Entertainment. Simultaneously shot in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages under the same title.

The legendary story of Jayalalithaa will be released in the theatres on April 23, 2021.
