The Bollywood heartthrob Sidharth Malhotra, who was last seen in Marjaavaan and currently busy shooting for Shershah, has bagged yet another project. Yes, you read that right, Sidharth Malhotra has been finalised to play a double role in the Hindi remake of Tamil movie, Thadam.
This would be for the first time Student of The Year actor will be seen playing dual role in a film. In the Hindi remake of Thadam, Sidharth Malhotra will be portraying a businessman and a small-time thief and gambler who always makes efforts to make quick money with his crony. The role of male lead has been finalised but makers are yet to rope any female actress. According to reports, makers are looking for A-list actress opposite Sidharth, she is likely to join the cast in two weeks.
The original Thadam was released in 2019, which featured Arun Vijay in double role along with Tanya Hope, Smruthi Venkat, and Vidya Pradeep in the lead roles. Written and directed by Magizh Thirumeni and produced by Inder Kumar, Thadam turned out to be the highest-grossing Tamil movies of 2019.
Meanwhile, Sidharth Malhotra and Kaira Advani’s upcoming film Shershah is scheduled to hit the theatres on July 3, 2020.
