Tesla coming to India in 2019, says Elon Musk
One of the world’s largest electric car makers, Tesla Motors, is set to arrive in India next year, claimed a report in Carwale.com on Monday.
Replying to Twitter questions, Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla announced that it plans to announce the expansion across the globe, said the report on the website.
Musk was quoted by the website as saying that Tesla will hopefully gain a partial presence in India, Africa & South America end of next year, with broader expansion in 2020. The company has already expanded to North America and also plans to extend their business to Europe, China, and Japan by the end of next year.
Founded by businessmen Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning in July 2003, Tesla is an American automotive and energy company. It is also the largest car-battery manufacturer with Panasonic battery claiming almost 60 percent of the car batteries.
Tesla also has car manufacturing outlets in China and Europe. But wants to setup battery manufacturing companies in every continent in every nation
Its model 3 is the most affordable car and is also the highest selling. Tesla has other models such as Roadster, Model S and Model X are another such examples.
