Fatal Fury’s Terry Bogard is the newest DLC fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The character is now downloadable owing to patch 6.0.
Masahiro Sakurai, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate director revealed some of Terry’s moves and abilities through a 45-minute livestream. He also gave a sneak peek at the new King of Fighters stage while unveiling the 50 SNK tunes that will also be added to the game.
Terry’s moveset draws inspiration from his time with SNK. His biggest strength appears when his damage goes over 100. Terry can then use his Super Special Moves that are high-risk, high-reward attacks. In addition, his kit also allocates unique mechanics to the roster. There are weak and strong versions of his special moves, depending on how long a player holds the button. In a first, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has given Terry Bogard a back-side Special move.
King of Fighters stage has also been introduced in the game. The fighters can break through the walled-off stage edge when they accumulate enough damage. Characters from King of Fighters and other SNK games will be visible in the background for this stage. Several new SNK Mii fighter costumes are also available for purchase now.
On the musical side of things, 50 new SNK tracks have been approved. They are from SNK games including Fatal Fury, The King of Fighters, Art of Fighting, Samurai Showdown, Metal Slug, and various others.
Terry Bogard and the new KIng of Fighters stage must be purchased for $4.99 in Challenger Pack 4. Players can also get them as a part of the Fighters pass which costs $24.99.
