Barely a month passed that rifleman Aurangzeb of Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JAKLI) posted with 44 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) was abducted and killed by the terrorists on June 14 near Shopian in south Kashmir, another Jammu and Kashmir police constable Javaid Ahmad Dar has been abducted from a local medical shop in Shopian again on Thursday.
as per the initial reports, the constable has been identified as Javaid Ahmad Dar, who has been kidnapped from Vehil Kachdoora area of Shopian in South Kashmir. A resident of Shopian was kidnapped in the same fashion as Aurangzeb was kidnapped. He was posted with IPS officer Shailendra Mishra who recently relinquished charge of SSP Shopian.
Local in the vicinity say that Dar was abducted at gunpoint, though he wailed and resisted to the unknown group who were carrying weapons. Police have launched a hunt to rescue Dar. It is the third incident within a year, as previously too Umar Fayaaz was kidnapped in 2017 and was found dead. Similarly Aurangzeb was abducted before Eid in June and his body was found pierced with bullets.
According to the latest report, four terrorists abducted him at gunpoint and took him in a Santro car. Though no official statement has been released by the Jammu and Kashmir police, his photograph with tortured marks has been released. Javid Ahmad Dar, is the son of Abdul Hamid Dar and a resident of Vehil area of Kachdora, Shopian.
