Jaya Prakash Reddy was a teacher by profession. But his passion for acting landed him on stage. He marked his debut in the Telugu industry with Brahmaputrudu. But success eluded him so he went back to teaching.
After 10 years he bagged a role in Venkatesh’s ‘Preminchukundaam Raa’. He was also a part of Balakrishna’s ‘Samarasimha Reddy’. These films established him as a villain. His unique way of delivering dialogues in Rayalaseema dialect made him a hot favourite for negative roles.
He was a part of ‘Nijam’, ‘Chenna Keshava Reddy’,’Gabbar Singh’, Nayaak’ and ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’.
