Telegram Becomes The Most Downloaded Messaging Mobile Application In The Month Of January 2021. India Alone Contribute To 24 Per Cent Of These Downloading
After the Facebook owned WhatsApp introduced its new privacy policy to the users, netizens were seen making a shift from WhatsApp to other alternative messaging apps. WhatsApp faced a massive outrage after netizens alleged it of leaking the user data to search engines. Signal and Telegram are the two messaging apps which witnessed a sudden serge in new registrations amidst the WhatsApp backlash. Now Telegram becomes the highest downloaded application on Play Store for the month of January.
After garnering more than 63 million download during the first month of 2021, Telegram becomes the non-gaming application to record highest number of downloads on Google Play Store for January. Among other countries India tops the list to contribute with 24 per cent of download to total count.

WhatsApp alternative Signal was trending on social media after it recorded a sudden serge of new registrations. The application however face few technical issues which was addressed by the brand and it had urged netizens to co-operate while it fixes the issues.
