Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has announced a gift of Rs five crore to the family of Colonel Santosh Babu. The colonel was martyred during the clashes with Chinese troops in the Galwan valley. The chief minister also announced Rs 10 lakh to each of the families of 19 soldiers who died in the clashes along with Santosh.
Speaking at the all-party meeting held by Prime Minister Narendra Modi Telangana Chief Minister said, “The state government will also provide a residential plot to Santosh Babu’s family and Group-I job to the officer’s wife.” Santoshi.”
The CM added that he will soon visit the family members of Col Santosh Babu and present the cheque personally on behalf of the state government.
KCR further added, “The entire country should stand by the military personnel guarding our country’s borders. We have to support those martyred in their line of duty and help personnel’s family members. With such acts, one should instill self-confidence among the Army personnel and security to the family members. We have to send a message that the entire country is with them.”
During the interaction with PM Modi, The CM suggested pursuing long-term and short-term strategies to counter China. Stating that what we need is not Rajneeti (politicking) but Ranneeti (war strategy). He also made it clear that the state government would stand by the central government.
