The makers of Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah had resumed shoots post a long break owing to the pandemic Coronavirus outspread. The stars were apparently shooting while taking care of all the precautions and safety guidelines. However Mandar Chandwadkar popularly known for portraying master Bhide’s role has tested positive for COVID-19. Earlier it was Sundarlal aka Mayur Vakani to test positive alongside his wife Hemali, the couple has also quarantined themselves.
Revealing about getting infected with Coronavirus, Mandar stated that he has quarantined at his Mumbai house. He had mild cold-like symptoms earlier and later he lost sense of smell, which has apparently returned in no time. “So, I am fit and fine right now, I am totally asymptomatic. I got myself tested on March 17 and got a positive report yesterday, March 19. I don’t know how I got it though,” said the actor as per a report by The Indian Express.
Reportedly the show’s producer, Asit Modi while being concerned about Mandar’s health is also concerned about the show’s current track. Tarak Mehta’s current track was centralised towards Bhide’s family. After the actor suddenly tested COVID-19 positive, the crew had to abruptly change the track.
We the team of The Live Mirror wish for Mandar’s speedy recovery.
