Tandav Row: I&B ministry summons Amazon Prime officials in India
Tandav Row: FIR filed in Lucknow against Ali Abbas Zafar, Amazon Prime's web series
Saif Ali Khan starrer web Series Tandav is facing heat for allegedly hurting religious sentiments. An FIR has been lodged against the series in Lucknow. In the FIR it has been stated that in the 17th minute of Episode 1, the characters playing Hindu gods and goddesses have been shown using undignified language, which can trigger religious sentiments.
According to ANI, an FIR has been registered at Hazratganj Kotwali against Amazon Prime’s India head of original content Aparna Purohit. The director of the web series ‘Tandav’ Ali Abbas Zafar and also the producer Himanshu Krishna Mehra, writer Gaurav Solanki and others.

Soon after the FIR was lodged that the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has also sought an explanation from Amazon Prime Video.

BJP leader Ram Kadam lodged a police complaint against the makers and actors of the web series featuring actors Saif Ali Khan and Dimple Kapadia.
Filed complaint against Tandav Web Series at Ghatkopar police station.
