Bigg Boss Tamil 2 fame Ponnambalam admitted in a hospital. South superstar Kamal Haasan comes forward to help his friend. Ponnabalam is admitted to a Chennai hospital due to kidney-related issues. Actor and politician Kamal Haasan got to know of Ponnambalam’s health condition and reached out to him. He has been since helping him financially.
Reportedly, the actor has been calling up Ponnambalam and enquiring about his health every day to keep track of his progress. The actor has also agreed to fund the educational expenses of Ponnambalam’s children.
A video shared by Ponnambalam from the hospital is viral on social media. He is seen breathing with the help of an oxygen mask.
Ponnambalam had started his career as a stuntman in Tamil cinema. The 56-year-old also acted in Kamal Haasan’s films like Apoorva Sagodharargal and Michael Madana Kamarajan. He got recognition and soon landed in films directed by KS Ravikumar’s Naattamai. Ponnambalam has also acted in Rajinikanth’s Muthu, Arunachalam, Ajith’s Amarkalam, Vikram’s Saamy, to name a few.
The actor was also a contestant on the popular TV reality show Bigg Boss Tamil in 2018. It was hosted by Kamal Haasan. He was a housemate in the second edition of the show and his actions attracted audiences. He wasn’t a favourite and was evicted after a few weeks in the house.
Apart from being an actor, he also stepped into politics in 2011. The actor was last seen in Jayam Ravi’s 2019-film Comaali.
