In an unfortunate turn of events, Ghanshyam Nayak, well known for the role of Natwarlal Prabhashankar Undhaiwala a.k.a. Nattu Kaka in the popular television show, ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ has passed away. He was 76 years old. The sad news was shared by TMKOC’s producer Asit Kumarr Modi on his Twitter handle.
Asit Kumar Modi wrote in Hindi: “Hamare pyaare #Natukaka @TMKOC_NTF hamare saath nahi rahe 🙏🏻 परम कृपालु परमेश्वर उन्हें अपने चरणो में स्थान दे और परम शांति दे 🙏🏻 उनके परिवार को ये दुःख सहन करने की शक्ति दे 🙏🏻 #नटुकाका हम आपको नहीं भूल सकते 🙏🏻 @TMKOC_NTF”

The veteran actor was battling cancer and was also undergoing treatment and receiving chemotherapy for the same.
According to a report in the Times Of India, the entire cast and crew of ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ are extremely shaken. Reportedly, the actor passed away at 5:30 pm.
Further, Tanmay Vekeria, who plays the role of Bagga expressed his sadness and said: “I got the news first as his son called me at 5:45 pm. His condition failed to improve after his hospitalization a few months back. He passed away today at 5:30 PM. He was a gem and was closest to me. He tried his best to work again with us but his health did not permit. I am very saddened that he is gone,” he concluded.
