The T20 World Cup will be held between October 17 and November 14 in Oman and UAE. India is all set to take on arch-rivals Pakistan on October 24 in Dubai. The news was confirmed by the International Cricket Council on Tuesday.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday announced the schedule for the T20 World Cup. They also revealed that Group 2 will start with a clash between India and Pakistan in Dubai on October 24 at 6 pm local time.
ICC tweeted, The ICC Men’s @T20WorldCup 2021 – Super 12 stage will kick off from 23 October.
India will next take on New Zealand at the Dubai International Stadium on 31st October. India’s final group match will be against the second-placed Round 1 qualifier from Group A. It will be held on November 8 in Dubai.
Here is the complete schedule:
Round 1:
Group A: Sri Lanka, Ireland, the Netherlands and Namibia
Group B: Bangladesh, Scotland, Papua New Guinea and Oman
The Top two teams from each group will advance to Super 12s.
Super 12s:
Group 1: England, Australia, South Africa, West Indies, A1 and B2.
Group 2: India, Pakistan, New Zealand, Afghanistan, A2 and B1.
The Top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals.
The first semi-final is slated to take place in Abu Dhabi. The second semi-final will be hosted by Dubai on November 11. The T20 World Cup final will be held in Dubai at 6 pm local time on November 14, Sunday.
