HS Prannoy was completely dominated upon by Indonesia’s Dwi Wardoyo in the opening round of the Syed Modi World Tour Super 300 Badminton Championships on Wednesday.
The second-seeded Prannoy barely could put up a fight against Wardoyo as he lost 14-21, 7-21 in a contest that lasted for just 33 minutes. But other Indians in the competition in Saina Nehwal, Rituparna Das, Parupalli Kashyap, Sameer Verma, Sai Praneeth and RMV Gurusaidutt won their opening round matches comfortably.

Wardoyo came up with some good smashes and drops as he dispatched his Indian opponent with relative ease.
Nehwal meanwhile had a smooth outing against Kate Foo Kune of Mauritius where she used up just 30 minutes to pull off a 21-10, 21-10 victory. Defending champion Sameer Verma too looked to be in a very good form as he eased past Siril Verma 21-12, 21-17 in a match that lasted for just 38 minutes.
P Kashyap also an equally dominating win over Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk by a 21-14, 21-12 margin. Kashyap executed some strong smashes and fine drops in a 34-minute contest.
