Riots break out in Sweden after anti-islamic action by far-Right activists
Sweden witnessed violence and riots on Friday evening as hundreds of people gathered in the southern Swedish town Malmo. The crowd had gathered to protest the actions of far-Right activists for their anti-islamic action. The hundred-strong crowd soon resorted to vandalism, stone pelting, and burning tires. had earlier set fire to a holy book
As reported by sources to Swedish Tabloid Expressmen, The demonstration was connected to an incident earlier in the day in which protesters burned a copy of the Islamic holy book.

Rasmus Paludan, a right-wing Danish leader was denied entry in Sweden to have a meeting in Malmo. But reportedly he was detained ahead of a planned meeting in the town. The members of the far-right political party staged a holy book-burning protest. In retaliation to the act, about 300 people hit the streets leading to massive riots and incidents of vandalism across the town.

Police in Malmo has said in a statement that they are trying to bring things under control.
According to a report by the European Network of Equality Bodies (EQUINET) last year, the number of incidents of racist and xenophobic hate speech has been rising in Sweden. This is in the context of large-scale arrivals of migrants and refugees.
