Looks like Bharatiya Janata Party leader Subramanian Swamy is on a spree to make controversial comments at the senior Congress leaders. Hours after making mocking Shashi Tharoor on Thursday, Swamy took a potshot again, but this time it was Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s turn. Swami called Gandhi a regular drug addict and said that he would fail dope test as ‘he does take lot of narcotics especially cocaine’.

Reacting on Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal’s comments on which she opined that Congress president should undergo dope test, as he said that 70 percent youth in Punjab are under drug menace, the controversial Rajya Sabha parliamentarian from BJP took an additive jibe by calling Gandhi a ‘drug addict’.

Speaking to the media, Swami said, “And the person she’s (Harsimrat Kaur Badal) thinking of is Rahul Gandhi who’s the one who said 70 per cent… (youth in Punjab are under drug menace). So I congratulate her and I say that she is perfectly right that these people should be tested and certainly Rahul Gandhi will fail the test I know because he does take lot of narcotics especially cocaine.”

In the morning too, Swami made fun of Shashi Tharoor after he was granted anticipatory bail from Patiala House court in Sunanda Pushkar murder case. Swami took a jibe at Tharoor’s condition where he won’t be able to travel abroad, and mockingly said, “Yes, he can’t go out of the country and see all his girlfriends in various parts of the world.”

Previously too, Swami had mocked Congress leaders several times. This time he was just adding spices in the hot political dish, which was cooked by Union Minister Badal. Speaking to the Republic Tv  on Punjab’s Chief Minister Amarinder Singh’s announcement that all government officials, and even police will have to undergo mandatory dope test, she made a controversial comment.

Badal had said, “Dope test is a good idea. It should start from top. Firstly, the Congress President should undergo dope test. He firstly said that 70% youth in Punjab are under drug menace. He needs to clear the test first and then let it apply to others.” Further adding, “They are just using these tactics for politics. They have to rise about politics.”

Usually, after these comments, Congress do give a reply which is more controversial, but till now n o one has commented on it. Lets see who comments next.
