Social activist Swami Agnivesh on Sunday said that he would approach the Supreme Court for an investigation into the attack on him last month in Jharkhand in which no probe or arrests have been made as yet.
“I am going to go to the Supreme Court anytime next week. These criminals have not been arrested even 18 days after the attack. No one has been identified… This is all deliberate,” he said at a function in Thiruvananthapuram quoted the NDTV.
The 79-year-old, who had to come to Jharkhand on July 18 to attend an event in Pakur, was thrashed and verbally abused by a youth group of a mob, who he accuses were Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) workers.

He lodged a complaint at the Ranchi Police station citing that he was beaten up for speaking against the Hindus, but no arrests have been made as of now.
“I survived just with the grace of God. The mob would have killed me. I thought I was finished,” said the spiritual leader while addressing a seminar in Kerala capital Thiruvananthapuram.
He also attacked the BJP led central government and questioned the Prime Minister’s silence on the issue. That speaks volume, it is their design,” he added saying “you will have to forget democracy and constitution and fair elections” if the BJP wins the 2019 elections.
According to the Swami, he had personally called and informed the Jharkhand administration about his arrival. But still, no police arrangements were made nor were any special security present outside the hotel.
