Congress veteran and former Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde’s daughter Praniti has sparked a new controversy by referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as ‘dengue mosquito’. The Solapur MLA from Maharashtra also urged people to oust Bharatiya Janata Party and PM Modi in the upcoming elections.
The Solapur lawmaker reportedly made the remarks against PM Modi while she was addressing public rally, reports Zee news. Praniti had said, “There is a new dengue mosquito in the country whose name is Modi baba that is causing everyone to fall ill.” Adding on, she urged the people not to vote for BJP in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
The Congress lawmaker even targeted BJP MP Sharad Bansode by calling him a drunkard. While speaking to a news channel, NCP MP Majeed Memon condemned the use of derogatory words for the PM.
It is to be known that she is the second lawmaker after independent Vadgam MLA and Dalit leader Jignesh Mevani, who called the PM as a ‘namak haram’. He made these comments in Patna while highlighting the plight of migrant workers from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh in Gujarat. He had said, “Shame on you, Narendra Modi, shame on you.”
