Recently, Sushant Singh Rajput donated Rs 1 crore on behalf of his fan for the victims of Kerala floods but he is also one of the very few actors who has donated for Nagaland floods.
On Monday, Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio tweeted the pictures of Sushant Singh Rajput and his team handing over a cheque of Rs 1.25 crore for the victims of floods in the state.
According to Home and State Disaster Management Authority, secretary, Rovilatuo Mor the unprecedented series of disaster in Nagaland has affected at least 13.19% of the total population of the state and severely affected 48,821 families in 532 villages while an area of 5408.57 acres agricultural sector has also been impacted.
CM Neiphiu Rio thanked the actor for donating and encouraging others to donate as well. He took to Twitter to say, “I thank Sushant Singh Rajput @itsSSR for standing with #Nagaland. He personally handed over a cheque of Rs.1.25 crore towards CM Relief Fund. I am grateful to him and everyone who has come in support of our state #NagalandFloods #DonateForNagaland.”
In another tweet, he said, “I am moved at the kind gesture made by @itsSSR and his team towards #NagalandFloods and willingness to help #Nagaland at this crucial hour. Your contribution is encouraging and I hope to see the rest of the nation come forward selflessly, to #DonateForNagaland.”
Sushant Singh Rajput too thanked him for a present and said, “Thank you Sir for your precious time. We promise that we with our full force and determination would work incessantly till the time our #Nagaland is perfectly restored. Reports suggest that the recovery work is still going on with the help of Indian Air Force and various NGOs.
