The death mystery of Sushant Singh Rajput has been getting murkier each passing day and the cause of his death is unknown yet. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) recently took over the case from Mumbai Police and Patna Police. As per the latest development in the case, the agency has registered an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty for abetting the suicide of actor.
Reportedly, the anti-corruption unit Vl of CBI has been tasked to investigate Sushant’s death case. And as per the recent report by Republic World, an FIR is filed against Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, Indrajit Chakraborty, Sandhya Chakraborty, Showik Chakraborty, Samuel Miranda, Shruti Modi, and others. The agency has been in touch with the Bihar Police who were the first to register the FIR in Sushant’s death case.
“The investigation of FIR No. 241/2020 dated 25.07.2020 registered u/s 341, 342, 380, 406, 420, 306, 506, 120B IPC, PS- Rajiv Nagar, District-Patna, related to death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput has been transferred to Central Bureau of Investigation for investigation,” CBI’s FIR says.
For the unversed, Rhea Chakraborty has been missing for over a week now. The actress reportedly left her building with her family in the middle of the night, after Sushant’s father K.K Singh filed an FIR against her and accused her of involving in money laundering and abatement of suicide.
The actresses lawyer, Satish Maneshinde reacting to the FIR registration by CBI issued a statement. He stated that it is an illegal move. “The Bihar Government transferred a case with which it had NO Jurisdiction to investigate, to CBI instead of The Mumbai Police, which is the legal position. The Hon’ble Supreme Court is seised of the issue pursuant to the Transfer Petition filed by Rhea Chakraborty. The SC has directed all parties to file their replies and Mumbai Police are directed to place the report of investigations,” read his statement.
