Sushant Singh Rajput‘s demise has been hitting headlines since the past one and a half months. Fans and family of the late actor have been asking for a CBI probe as they were a number of gaping holes in the ongoing investigations. A day after Bihar CM Nitish Kumar recommended a CBI inquiry into SSR’s case. The Centre has finally accepted its request to transfer the case from Mumbai Police to the central probe agency.
Supreme Court also said – “A very talented artist was killed in suspicious circumstances. This is a high profile case. Everyone has their own views. The truth must come out. The Maharashtra government should answer the matter of the solicitor and others. Then we will look into the matter.”
The Supreme Court added that the investigation in Sushant’s death is underway in Mumbai. They further said that whether the things recorded in Patna’s FIR are part of the investigation or not, they do not know. If an IPS of Bihar government goes to Mumbai for investigation, it is stopped, these are not good indications. SC also said that the Maharashtra government should ensure that all investigation is done in a professional manner.
As per the latest reports, the Mumbai police has been asked to submit the case files to the CBI within 3 days. Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Shweta Singh Kriti took to Twitter to express her happiness and wrote, “CBI it is!!! #JusticeForSushant #CBIEnquiryForSSR #CBIenquiry (sic).”
