Sunil Chhetri signed a fresh one year contract with Bengaluru FC on Tuesday. It means that the 33 year old will stay with the blues till until the end of 2021.
Sunil Chhetri expressed his delight of continuing with the club. He has been the longest serving player for the club and who would want to let go a player like him. The Bengaluru FC skipper has clinched the highest goal scorer of the year award for five consecutive years and it goes without saying that the veteran is Bengaluru’s highest goal scorer with 71 strikes in 144 appearances.

“I have always said that this club and these fans have been the most fantastic experience of my life and signing a new deal here is only a way of giving back to a club that has given so much to me. I’ve made some fantastic memories here and I believe there are many more to make,” Sunil Chhetri said.
The CEO of Bengaluru FC and teammates are very happy having Chhetri who recently won the AIFF player of the year award, on board.

Bengaluru FC’s first official match of this season will be against Turkmenistan’s Altyn Asyr FK in the semifinal of the AFC Cup, on August 22 and the second leg will be played on August 29.
