Before the festival begins, you will get an invitation letter from Major Lewis. You must know that the Governor himself will also join the villagers to celebrate the occasion. The invitation letter urges you to bring something special with you contributing to the potluck soup.
Luau: Potluck soup in Stardew Valley
The prime focus of Luau festival is a potluck soup as the Governor himself taste it. Your prime focus should add something to the soup making it more delicious. Before choosing something to add to the soup, you must know that taste of the soup will bring your relationship close to the Governor and all the villagers. Only your friendships with the Wizard, the Dwarf, Sandy, and Krobus will be safe.
If your soup is liked by one and all, you will receive 120 friendship points. If you managed to impress the Governor, you will get 60 friendship points as well. If the governor does not appreciate the soup or call it ordinary soup, you would not earn a single point.
If the Governor call your Soup “kind of disgusting”, you are likely to lose 50 points. Though, we will suggest you not to add Blackberry, Spring Onion, Crocus, Anchovy, Sweet Pea, Carp, Salmonberry, Daffodil, Green Algae, White Algae, Field Snack, Joja Cola, Seaweed, or Herring for the soup.
If you do not want to lose 100 points of friendship with villagers and the Governor, do not dare to try to add to the soup following items: Sea Cucumber, Pufferfish, Scorpion Carp, Holly, Sap, or Red Mushroom. Despite our advice, if you add the above mentioned items, the Governor may even feel sick.
Notably, as soon as the Governor tastes the soup, Stardew Valley Luau festival will end.
- If you did not add anything to the soup, the Governor will say the soup tastes like if something is missing.
- If you add Red Mushroom, you will surely make the Governor sick, and no one else will even try to taste it. Don’t forget about the quality of your goods. If you will bring something of a poor quality, it will make the soup disgusting.
