Fans of Stardew Valley were delighted to see a recreation of the quaint Pelican Town in Media Molecule’s new game Dreams. Media Molecule has previously developed popular games like LittleBigPlanet and Tearaway. Their latest presentation is Dreams which allows players to build intricate new worlds. The game has only been out for a short period but there are some amazing worlds ready to explore.
A Twitch streamer named Tooshi recently shared the Stardew Valley town recreated in Dreams through his Twitter account. The detailing of the recreation is pretty impressive with attention being given to the tiniest detail. The brief Dreams video gives viewers a quick glimpse of the Stardew Valley town complete with locations like Stardrop Saloon and Penny’s trailer. The recreated Pelican Town also has a few NPCs from the game.
However, there isn’t much to engage the Dreams players, unlike the original Stardew Valley. The town is mostly aesthetic where players can only walk around without much to do. There are no indoor locations available either.
Dreams is being applauded by fans and critics over the amount of creative freedom and the excellence of the game creation tool. On the other hand, Stardew Valley creators have announced that two new games are currently in development that will tie into the universe. Stardew Valley released on February 26, 2016, and has been a major hit since its release. The game has sold over 10 million copies across all platforms by 2020.
