Superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan announced several initiatives to help central and state government to fight against the pandemic. One of them being their four-storied personal office space to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). It is to be utilized as quarantine facility for women, children, and the elderly. Now, a video giving a glimpse of the transformed quarantine center is doing the rounds on social media.
The office building has now been completely transformed into a quarantine field. The work has been completed by Gauri’s firm Gauri Khan Designs in collaboration with Meer Foundation.
Meer Foundation originally shared the video, “Making space for each other. #MeerFoundation has effectively transformed the 4-storey private office building, offered by @gaurikhan and @iamsrk, into quarantine quarters under @mybmc’s guidance. In this fight, we stand together stronger than ever before.”
Gauri Khan too has shared the video on Instagram, in which one can see how the private office space has been transformed into quarantine quarters under BMC’s guidance.
Gauri wrote, “refurbished this office …a quarantine zone providing essentials and services to those in need. We must stand together and stand strong in this fight against #Covid19.”
Shah Rukh Khan through his IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), has committed to contribute to the PM-Cares Fund. Through his film production banner, Red Chillies Entertainment, he is donating to the Maharashtra CM’s Relief Fund. He has also pledged Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for healthcare providers and workers in Maharashtra and West Bengal.
SRK’s Meer Foundation and Ek Saath foundation will be providing daily food requirements to over 5500 families for at least a month in Mumbai. Meer Foundation is also collaborating with Roti Foundation to provide meals to underprivileged people and daily wage labourers.
