A few days back, veteran singer SP Balasubrahmanyam health had worsened after he tested positive for the novel Coronavirus, reportedly, he was kept on life support. Now, his son SP Charan shared a health update on his father’s condition and said, he is in a stable condition but on a ventilator.
SP Charan issued a statement and expressed gratitude for everyone’s concern towards his father and said, “Thanks a lot for all your concern and enquiries about my father’s health. He is in ICU under ventilation. His condition is stable. Don’t believe rumours. We will keep you updated about his progress regularly. Thanks again (sic).”
According to a report in PTI, “He remains stable and the doctors are closely monitoring his clinical parameters,” said a statement by Assistant Director (Medical Services) Anuradha Baskaran of MGM Healthcare in Chennai.
Tamil Nadu Health Minister Vijaybhaskar took to his Twitter and wished for his speedy recovery, “Spoke to legend Singer #SPBalasubrahmanyam son SPB Charan & MD of MGM Hospital. Enquired about his health condition. Assured support from Govt. Wishing him a speedy recovery #GetwellSoonSPBSir” he tweeted.

As per the latest reports, the veteran singer’s wife, Savitri has also tested positive for COVID-19 and was admitted to a hospital for treatment.
On August 5, the singer took to his social media to inform his fans that he has tested positive and was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai.
