In an heart-breaking turn of events, the legendary singer, SP Balasubrahmanyam breathed his last on September 25 at the age of 74. He was admitted in the hospital after testing positive for the COVID-19. He tested negative early in September for the infection, but continued to receive life support treatment at the MGM Healthcare in Chennai. The hospital where he was being treated said in a statement that he died due to cardio-respiratory arrest. According to the latest reports, his funeral to be held at the farmhouse in Thamaraipakkam village.
Aravindan, SP Thiruvallore informed news agency ANI, “Today, on account of the funeral of SP Balasubrahmanyam, we have made elaborate security arrangements. We have deployed around 500 personnel, separate traffic police team is also there to take care of traffic issues.”
The news agency reported that that the cremation ceremony will take place in Thamaraipakkam village of Thiruvallore district. The mortal remains of the singer arrived at his farmhouse late last night. Ahead of the cremation ceremony the security arrangements were made to take care of traffic in the area.
