However, now, according to the latest updates, his health condition is stable and he had a peaceful sleep, said the hospital.
The senior doctors at the hospital said that they are planning to carry out the required medical examinations on him on Friday. “Senior doctors will carry out a thorough checkup following which a decision will be taken whether to move him to another ward, the oxygen support has also been removed,” the hospital official told PTI.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was also present at the hospital to check on his health, “I spoke to him and his family. He is doing fine and I can only wish him a speedy recovery.” She also thanked the team of doctors for the operation.
On Wednesday, Sourav walked into the hospital through a green corridor. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya had enquired about Ganguly’s health. Senior CPI(M) leader Ashok Bhattacharya also paid a visit to Ganguly.
