The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) is scheduled to be held on September 13, whereas, JEE-Main will be held from September 1-6.
Earlier, Sood came out in the support of students demanding the postponement of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), given the coronavirus pandemic.
“It’s my request to government of India, to postpone the #Neet/#JEE exams in the current situation of the country! In the given #COVID19 situation, we should care utmost & not risk the lives of students! #PostponeJEE_NEETinCOVID
@EduMinOfIndia @PMOIndia,” he tweeted.
However, a few days back, the Supreme Court dismissed a plea for the exams to be postponed and said that it will result in students losing an academic year and will put their careers at risk.
