Veteran film and television actor Anupam Shyam is admitted to a hospital in Goregaon, Mumbai. He is battling kidney infection and is in the Intensive care unit of the hospital. The actor is facing financial difficulties and is unable to bear the cost of his treatment. Therefore his family has sought financial aid from the film industry.
Cine And TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) had appealed to people to come forward and donate. Bollywood actor Sonu Sood has once again stepped forward as Knight in shining armour and promised helped to the actor.
Sonu Sood shared CINTAA’s message on his Twitter handle and wrote that he was in touch with Anupam’s family.
The 62-year-old actor was first admitted to a hospital in Malad where he was undergoing treatment. However, after he reportedly collapsed during dialysis on Monday, he was shifted to the ICU of a hospital in Goregaon. Reports claim he is in stable condition now.
Anupam has been a part of Indian television and Bollywood over the past three decades. He was part of films like Nayak: The Real Hero, Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, and many more. However, he is best known for playing Thakur Sajjan Singh in the daily soap, Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya.
Sonu Sood has been in the limelight ever since he started helping stranded migrants. The Dabangg star has been arranging transport and rehabilitation facilities for people who have lost jobs since the coronavirus pandemic struck. He is also planning to write his memoir soon.
