South Korean actor, Song Joong Ki spills the beans on doing crime thriller, Vincenzo. He reveals that he wasn’t satisfied with his Italian lines
Song Joong Ki starrer Vicenzo, a crime thriller comes to an end with a spine-chilling ending in the finale episode. Vincenzo Cassano and Cha Young shared a lot of sweet moments together throughout the show and they had quite intriguing scenes in the ending episode as well. Vincenzo’s finale closed with the highest ratings ever for the season. Joong Ki in his recent interaction reveals that he isn’t satisfied with his Italian lines in the show.
According to a report by Soompi, Soong Joong Ki took part in an interview following the successful finale telecast of Vicenzo. While mentioning his Italian lines in the show, he said, “I’m not sure if my acting in comical scenes were received positively. Personally, I wasn’t satisfied with my Italian lines and my comic scenes. Through this production, I felt once again that acting in a comedy is the most difficult type of acting. In that aspect, I think I did a very bad job. I’m personally not pleased.”
He further explained, “I think it would have been better if I had practiced for a long time ahead of it. I believe acting in a foreign language gets better the more time you put into it, so I was personally not satisfied. I kept practicing and memorizing with my Italian teacher, and I tried my best to get my pronunciation as close as I could. At first, Vincenzo was a character who came from Southern Italy, and it was hard to get the pronunciation right when we changed him to a character from Central Italy. I focused on that kind of detail.”
For the unversed, the 20th episode of the show was aired on May 2, 2021.
