Sonam Kapoor Ahuja gets brutally slammed for supporting Kanika Kapoor

Popular singer Kanika Kapoor has been grabbing the headlines ever since she has been tested positive for Coronavirus. The entire world has also been slamming her for being irresponsible towards her health. Now, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja has come out in the support of the singer, but, got trolled by netizens instead.

Sonam Kapoor Ahuja took to her Twitter handle, in Kanika’s defence and tweeted, “Hey guys @TheKanikakapoor came back on the 9th. India was not self isolating but playing Holi.”

Sonam Kapoor’s tweet didn’t go down well with several users on Twitter. One of them wrote, “When you’re advised self quarantine and you’re aware of the situations in other countries you ought to put others safety over your self interests” whereas, another one wrote, “Atleast she should have took some precautions as she knew coronavirus was breakout in UK and in world.”

Today, the UP police have filed an FIR against Kanika Kapoor for negligence and disobedience. As reported by a source to PTI, “An FIR was lodged at the Sarojini Nagar police station under IPC Sections 269 (negligent act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life), 270 (malignant act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life), 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant).”

The 41-year-old singer is among the four fresh cases found in Lucknow. ​A total of 223 coronavirus cases have been reported in the country so far and more than 6,700 people who have come in contact with them are under surveillance.
