South Korean actor So Ji-sub and Cho Eunjung — who had made their relationship public last year — tied the knot today (April 7, 2020). Yes, they have registered their marriage. The news of So Ju-Sub and Cho Eunjung marriage was shared by the actor’s agency.
According to the statement issued by 51K, So Ji-sub and Cho Eunjung’s marriage was a close-knit affair and it was only attended by their close friends and family members. The agency also stated that the newlywed couple will donate 50 million won ($40,900) to the local charity Good Neighbors “to help people overcome these difficult times,” in order to prevent the spread of novel Coronavirus.
They will also provide tablets and other smart devices to help underprivileged children with their online learning.
When 51K was asked by News1, they said, “So Ji Sub is not young, and they naturally decided on marriage after seeing each other with positive feelings,” and added, “It is not a shotgun marriage.”
Talking about the couple, So Ji-sub is known for his roles in various TV shows including “Something Happened in Bali” (2004), “Master’s Sun” (2013) and “Oh My Venus” (2015). He reportedly won the top prize at the 2018 MBC Drama Awards for his performance in the successful MBC drama “My Secret Terrius.”
Cho Eunjung, on the other hand, made her TV debut as a presenter for the popular online game “League of Legends” on cable channel OGN in 2014 and worked as an entertainment reporter until June 2018. (Yonhap)
