Smelling polls, PM Modi to reach Rajasthan today; will lay foundation of 13 schemes

Looks like Bharatiya Janata Party has smelled the scent of success way ahead of elections and is on a mission to woo the voters in Rajasthan. Taking the responsibility on his own shoulders, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Jaipur on Saturday where will lay the foundation of 13 urban infrastructure projects worth over Rs 2,100 crore.  Also, he will interact with beneficiaries of seven central government and five state government’s flagship schemes..

Official information released by the BJP on their twitter handle states, Modi will also meet the beneficiaries of government schemes and address the rally in Jaipur at around 1 pm. During the event, the Premier will meet the beneficiaries of schemes include Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana and others. Also, the presentation will moderated by Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje.

 

Prime Minister will lay the foundation of projects include – Integrated Infrastructure package for the walled city of Udaipur, Elevated Road Project for Ajmer, Water Supply and Sewerage projects in various cities, Upgradation of STPs in Dholpur, Nagaur, Alwar, and Jodhpur.

Official sources say that the state government has arranged 5,579 buses to bring people to the Amrudon Ka Bagh stadium where the PM is scheduled to address the gathering.  The state government is spending over Rs 722.53 lakh to ferry beneficiaries of welfare schemes from 33 districts to the rally and the money for their travel will largely come from funds for the schemes, General Administration Department (GAD) order said.

The official further adds, that the buses are planned to arrive from Alwar, Udaipur and Ajmer districts and from Jaipur alone, 532 buses are expected to ferry the beneficiaries to the venue. As per media reports, over 2 lakh beneficiaries have been invited from all 33 districts of the state to participate in this programme and around 4.5 crore people of Rajasthan have benefitted from around 160 government schemes.

The state government has constructed two new helipads at Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur to facilitate the landing of PM Modi. Among the security arrangements, CCTV have covered sensitive areas and temporary control rooms have been set to alert the field units if they spot any suspicious activity.
