This news was confirmed by Biles herself who took to Twitter to convey the message that she had been rushed to the hospital.
Her tweet read, “Nothing like a late night ER visit less than 24 hours before world championships.”
With a picture of herself in the hospital, Biles also confirmed her participation in the competition saying that the emergency situation wouldn’t be able to keep her out of the qualification rounds for the women’s team.
The 21-year old 10-time champion was making a comeback to the mainstream competition after a year-long layoff in 2017. She had been highly successful at the Rio Olympics in 2016 where she bagged a total of four gold medals.
She even won the top prizes at the 2013, 2014 and 2015 world championships.
