Ricky” Hawk, aka Silentó best known for his debut song “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae) has been fallen into legal trouble as he has been charged and arrested in the suburb of Atlanta with the alleged murder of his 34-year-old cousin brother Fredrick Rooks last month in Georgia, confirmed the DeKalb County Police Department to Variety.
DeKalb Country announced it on their official Twitter handle and tweeted as: “Today, Ricky Hawk, 23, was arrested for the murder of his cousin Frederick Rooks, 34. On January 21, the DeKalb County Police Department investigated Rooks’ death after he was found shot on Deep Shoals Circle. Hawk is in the DeKalb County Jail charged with Murder. #WeAreDKPD.”

“After a thorough investigation, DKPD detectives identified Hawk as Rooks’ cousin, and the person responsible for Rooks’ murder. Investigators are still working to uncover the motive for the shooting,” the DeKalb County Police Department said in a statement.
The representatives of the rapper did not respond immediately to Variety’s request for comment on the charges. His manager did not respond to an emailed request for comment Monday night. Rooks was pronounced dead at the scene.
On January 21, the police found Rooks’ body in Deep Shoals. The DKPD revealed that Silento’s cousin was found on the roadway with many gunshot wounds on his body at around 3:30 AM, on January 21.
In October 2020, the rapper was arrested and charged with speeding and reckless driving.
