Sidharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria were last seen together in Milap Zaveri’s ‘Marjaavaan.’ Now, the latest reports suggest that the duo will be back together once again as they will be recreating Sonam Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan’s song ‘Masakali’ from Delhi 6.
Talking about the song, Bhushan Kumar told Mumbai Mirror, “AR Rahman created a musical gem in ‘Masakali’ which has been a personal favorite for years. The song is still a rage among youngsters, so I thought it might be a good idea to present it in a new fashion. We got Sidharth and Tara for the song as they look good together on screen and they infused life into the chartbuster.”
Sidharth Malhotra, further states that the song will be relevant in today’s time as everyone locked in due to the coronavirus spread, trying to stay protected from the destructive virus. “We have unintentionally made a song revolving around two people cooped up indoors and still doing a lot of masti,” states the actor.
Tara Sutaria said despite of rehearsing only once“It was a breeze, It’s such a catchy song despite being a midtempo tune. Bhushanji and Tanishk have reimagined the 2.0 version beautifully while Tulsi and Sachet have given it a fun, sexy spin, which I love.” she added.
Masakali 2.0 has been reportedly sung by Tulsi Kumar and Sachet Tandon, directed by Adil Shaikh whereas the original song was sung by Mohit Chauhan, while the lyrics of the song are penned down by Prasoon Joshi and directed by A.R Rahman.
