Shweta Bachchan Nanda‘s father-in-law, Rajan Nanda passes away

Chairman of Escorts Group who is also father-in-law of Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Rajan Nanda passed away. He was husband of late Ritu Nanda, daughter of Raj Kapoor. That’s how Bachchan and Kapoors relate. The news was confirmed from Riddhima Kapoor Sahani on Instagram who is sister of actor Ranbir Kapoor, addressing him as ‘uncle Rajan’.

She captioned the post saying, “You were are & will always be a legend! Thank you for all the love always – will miss you so much uncle – until we meet again RIP uncle Rajan.”

Late Rajan Nanda has two children, Nikhil and Natasha Nanda and their family. And Nikhil Nanda who is the husband of Shweta Bachchan is Managing Director of Escorts Limited.

The Escorts Group is an Indian engineering company that operates in the sectors of agri-machinery, construction and material handling equipment, and railway equipment. On 24 June 2015, the company signed a five-year deal with US-based IT firm Cognizant Technology Solutions. This deal is to bring digital transformation to all its business segments including agri-machinery, material handling and construction equipment and railway equipment.
