Shilpa Shetty and Paresh Rawal starrer Hungama 2 is one of the most anticipated films from Bollywood. It was announced even before the pandemic hit India and now the film is all ready to be screened for the audience. This upcoming comedy-drama to be released on the OTT streaming platform as well, according to the latest reports. The makers have apparently sold the project to Disney+ Hotstar approximately for the sum of Rs. 30 crores.
Alongside starring Shilpa Shetty and Paresh Rawal, this Priyadarshan film also features Meezaan, Pranitha Subhash Rajpal Yadav and Manoj Joshi in the key roles. While the inside details about the project have not been unleashed as yet, the makers have reportedly featured Akshaye Khanna (who was a part of the prequel) in a cameo role. Talking about Hungama 2, a source close to the development informed Bollywood Hungama, “The comic caper is sold to Disney+ Hotstar for Rs. 30 crores; however this does not include the satellite rights. While the exact figure for a TV premiere is not known yet, it is expected to be in the range of Rs. 6 to 8 crores, taking the total revenue to Rs. 36 crores.”
The same report also mentions further that the producers have received a reasonable sum from the movie music and the ancillary sources. Considering all the barometers, the makers are believed to have made impressive deals. Nothing has been officially announced as yet about the film.
