Bollywood hunk Sidharth Malhotra after ‘Marjaawaan’ will soon be seen as an army officer in ‘Shershah’. The actor is playing the titular role of Kargil martyr Captain Vikram Batra in the biopic. The hunk has treated his fans with the first look of Shershaah as he rang his 35th birthday today.
Sidharth shared three posters of Shershaah on Twitter and wrote, “An absolute honor to be able to paint the big screen with the shades of bravery & sacrifice. Paying an ode to the journey of Captain Vikram Batra (PVC) and bringing the UNTOLD TRUE STORY with #Shershaah. Releasing 3rd July, 2020.”

In the movie, Sidharth will apparently play a double role, as Captain Vikram Batra and his identical twin brother Vishal, while Kiara Advani will be seen playing his fiancée, Dimple Cheema. The film also stars Javed Jaffrey, Himanshu Malhotra and Paresh Rawal in vital roles.
Co-produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Shershaah is scheduled to hit the screens on July 3, 2020.
For uninitiated, Captain Vikram Batra was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra for his exemplary courage during Kargil War. He martyred at a young age of 24. He had led one of the toughest operations in mountain warfare in Indian history. Captain Vikram Batra was often referred to as “Sher Shah” in the intercepted messages of the Pakistan Army.
