Bollywood actor Sharman Joshi turns 41 today. The actor made his debut in 1999 with Godmother. He has been a part of many commercially successful movies since then. These include 3 Idiots, Rang De Basanti, Style, and Dhol.
Sharman Joshi was also a part of the successful Golmaal franchise. However, he was replaced by Shreyas Talpade after the first film. The Golmaal Series has been a commercially successful franchise at the box office. However, while Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, and Tusshar Kapoor have resumed their roles, Sharam Joshi was not seen after Golmaal-Fun Unlimited.
There have been many rumors surrounding the reason for the actor’s exit from the franchise. However, one recurrent rumor is that Sharman had hiked his fees and could not reach an agreement with the makers.
“I think there were some problems with my manager and the producers. That led to my exit. However, if I get an offer, I will certainly think about rejoining the team,” Sharman had clarified later.
In fact, Sharman also stated that he had apologized for his manager’s mistake after the negotiations.
“I actually requested the producers to keep me in the team. But by then the changes had been made.” he had said.
The actor was also questioned if Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn were involved in the process of booting him out of the film. Sharman had denied the rumor.
Meanwhile, did you know that the actor once gave 40 auditions to be in a film? Sharman Joshi had previously worked with producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra in the film 3 Idiots. However, this did not give him an edge when it came to auditioning for Ferrari Ki Savari. The actor had to audition 40 times to grab the role.
