A day after it was announced that Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Gulabo Sitabo will be releasing on an OTT platform. The makers of Vidya Balan starrer Shakuntala Devi have said that the biopic will also get a digital release. Shakuntala Devi was all set to release on May 8, however, due to the ongoing coronavirus lockdown, the makers have decided to release it on Amazon Prime.
Vidya Balan took to social media and announced the good news to her fans. Vidya will be seen playing the role of math wizard Shakuntala Devi aka ‘human-computer’ in the biopic. The film is directed by Anu Menon and also features Sanya Malhotra, Amit Sadh, and Jisshu Sengupta in pivotal roles. It is produced by Sony Pictures Networks Productions and Vikram Malhotra.
There are reports that Akshay Kumar’s Laxmmi Bomb, Janhvi Kapoor’s Gunjan Saxena, Ishaan Khatter-Ananya Panday-starrer Khaali Peeli and Anurag Kashyap’s Ludo are also getting a digital release.
