As the coronavirus lockdown has been eased out, the film industry is all set to resume work with proper guidelines and protocols issued by the government. However, Shakti Kapoor, in an interview, revealed that he will not allow his daughter-actor Shraddha Kapoor to resume work anytime soon.
In an exclusive chat with theTimes Of India, Shakti Kapoor said, “I will not go out and work for now, nor will I allow my daughter Shraddha to resume work. I don’t think the threat is gone. I feel the worst is yet to come. I won’t let my children out for now. I know work is important but not at the cost of one’s life.”
“It will be very chaotic if people start shooting now. I tell industry people in our group that it is better to wait than pay hospital bills. It is still a very bad state of affairs outside,” said Kapoor.
As of now, India is now the fourth worst affected nation in the world. The country on Thursday went past the United Kingdom in the number of coronavirus cases. As per the Union Health Ministry, India has been recording over 9,500 cases every day for the past seven days.
On the work front, Shraddha was last seen in Ahmed Khan’s ‘Baaghi 3′ alongside Tiger Shroff, Riteish Deshmukh. However, the film’s collections were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic as the theatres were shut down, later, the makers decide to release it on Disney+Hotstar.
