Oozing oomph, Richa Chadha pays the perfect ode to Shakeela who ruled the roost in the 90s. She was a force to reckon with. Shakeela was so popular that it even gave tough competition to the superstars of that era. She was one of the biggest crowd-pullers of the South Indian films in the ’90s.
Produced by Sammy Nanwani, Shakeela is directed by Indrajit Lankesh. The biopic traces Shakeela’s journey filled with hurdles and discrimination. The movie also features Pankaj Tripathi and Malayalam actor Rajeev Pillai.
The multilingual movie is releasing on December 25 in theatres across India.
